Class action filed against Pharmaprix and Shoppers Drug Mart

On July 28, 2010, a class action lawsuit was filed by the firm Sylvestre Fafard Painchaud on behalf of approximately 9.7 million canadian holders of a PHARMAPRIX OPTIMUM loyalty card or SHOPPERS DRUG MART OPTIMUM loyalty card.

OPTIMUM Cardholders are entitled to discounts on purchases in exchange of points they have accumulated. On July 1, 2010, the Cardholders have seen the value of their points drop significantly. More points are now required to get a discount.
